Cosmetology

The opportunities in Cosmetology are open to any student having a desire to excel in the field. Salons all over the United States are requesting qualified licensed Cosmetologists, Nail Technicians, and Estheticians.

Upon completion of the two year Cosmetology course at the Page County Technical Center and sitting for and passing the Virginia State Board Examination of Cosmetology, the graduate will be a licensed Cosmetologist. This will allow the graduate to enter the Cosmetology industry competent in all basic tasks of the field including, but not limited to sanitation and sterilization, shampooing and rinsing, hair shaping, hair styling, permanent waving, chemical relaxing, hair coloring, wig services, color analysis, facials, makeup application, manicure, pedicure, artificial nails, and salon management.
