There is no doubt today’s cars are advanced. There is more technology in the average car today than what was in the most advanced home computer ten years ago. It is for this reason that expertly trained and highly qualified technicians are in great demand. No longer can the shade tree mechanic use his “trained ear” to accurately diagnose and repair a car in his back yard. For the consumer, finding a qualified technician that will do quality work is difficult. Certification is the key. Technicians who certify, do so because they want to; not because they have to. Certification shows that the technician has found it valuable to earn the credentials that back up their claim of excellence.
