Page County Public Education Foundation

The J.K. Samples Scholarship

This is an endowment of the late Mr. J. K. Samples, former Superintendent of Page County Public Schools. Mr. Samples left an endowment, and each year the interest from that amount is to be divided among deserving students at Luray and Page County High Schools.

The Visual Arts Scholarship

This scholarship, in the amount of $250, is awarded each year to a student from each high school who excels in visual arts.

The Athletic Scholarship

This scholarship is supported each year by our annual Golf Tournament. This event provides a $500 scholarship at each of the high schools. The 8th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on August 2, 2014, at the Caverns County Club in Luray, VA.

Foundation Scholarship

The Foundation has partnered with the Page County Education Association and the Page County Retired School Personnel groups to sponsor the 2nd Annual Craft and Vendor Show at Luray Elementary School on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Crafters or vendors who want to participate in this event should contact a Foundation member.

Agri-Business and Tourism Scholarship

This scholarship is supported by having a wine-tasting event featuring a selection of Virginia Wines. Since wineries have become a big part of the agricultural community in Virginia, we felt it important to provide the opportunity for all persons to see what Virginia Wines have to offer. The 3rd Annual Wine Tasting Event will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the historic Stevens Cottage in Shenandoah, VA.
