The Media Center

The middle school media center provides students access to a wide variety of print and electronic materials and resources. Media center specialists provide individual guidance, formal instruction, and appropriate resources to help students become critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and wise consumers of information in the 21st century. Students are encouraged to access a variety of information resources, use information technology efficiently and responsibly, and read for pleasure and personal enrichment.

Page County Middle School is home to an excellent media center that has been stocked with new books! The librarian, Mrs. Rhinehart, is always available to help students make informed selections. Students may visit the library during English classes on a six day rotation. Students are generally allowed to check-out two books but if they have any special projects, they may be able to check out one to two more. All students are encouraged to let their teachers know if a book is not working for them because it is possible for them to exchange books early, at their teacher’s discretion. The most important thing when at the library is to find a book that is interesting and something you want to read!
